One of the best dishes a colleague of mine introduced me to, is making pizza at home. Surprisingly simple, and ridiculously delicious to make, I've been making this delicious recipe intermittently for the past few years now.
Recipe:
Name | Quantity |
---|---|
Pizza Dough (Trader Joe's) | Half the dough |
Marinara Sauce | 1/2 cup |
Shredded Parmesan Cheese | 1/3 cup |
Shredded Mexican 3-Cheese blend | 1/3 cup |
Bell Pepper | Half |
Olive oil | 2 Tbsp |
Instructions:
- First, take the dough, place it on a lightly floured sheet and let it come up to room temp.
- Heat up the oven to 450 F.
- Slowly spread out the dough with your fingers to the desired thickness.
- Spread the marinara sauce on the dough, and brush olive oil on the crust edge.
- Dice the bell pepper and spread it across the marinara.
- Mix the cheeses and spread it over the marinara and bell peppers.
- Place the sheet in the oven, and bake for 7-8 minutes.
- Take out and spread some hot sauces on the top if you want (I do :D).
- Cut, and enjoy :D (Let it rest so that you do not burn the roof of your mouth).
You can of course put your own toppings on this.
